The Willet-Holthuysen Museum is the only completely period furnished canal-side house in Amsterdam open daily to the public The Willet-Holthuysen Museum is the only completely period furnished canal-side house in Amsterdam open daily to the public.
Mrs Willet-Holthuysen bequeathed her 17th-century canal-side house to the city of Amsterdam in her will, on the condition that it was preserved and opened as a museum. The museum now houses a remarkable collection of Golden Age art and silverware as well as the permanent exhibition which provides an introduction to the Willets.
